More ways to live my life.
When I began my fitness journey in 2020, I wanted to lose weight. Over time, I lost nearly 100 pounds. That is part of my story, and I’m proud of the time and effort it took.
But the things I treasure most are what movement made possible.
Keeping up with my daughter. Getting down on the floor to play and getting back up with ease. Picking her up. Riding a bike. Going on adventures together. Carrying groceries into the house.
They might sound like little things. But when something is difficult or out of reach, being able to do it can mean so much. I don’t take those moments for granted.
“Movement helps me participate in my own life.”
It gives me more ways to play, explore, connect, and enjoy being Cata’s mom.
I’ve also completed a triathlon and ridden a century—100 miles on a bike. Those experiences showed me I could do things that once felt far beyond my reach. I’m proud of them, and I’m just as grateful for the strength that helps me enjoy an ordinary day.
I’m still learning, too.
I’m a mom with a full life. I know what it’s like to struggle with consistency, feel uncomfortable in your body, or wonder how to make time for yourself when so many other things need you. My own relationship with movement continues to grow and change.
I’m still learning how to keep promises to myself while giving myself grace. How to challenge myself and listen to myself. How to return when life gets messy.
That experience is part of what led me to coaching.
Coaching the person who shows up.
Today, I’m an ACE-certified group fitness instructor and Stages-trained indoor cycling instructor. My work includes teaching group fitness, facilitating individual exercise and movement consultations, and leading group movement sessions to support people in rebuilding their relationship with exercise.
I help people examine the rules and expectations they carry around movement—especially when exercise starts to feel driven by guilt, control, or the need to earn food. Together, we explore a more flexible relationship with movement, with room for enjoyment, challenge, and rest.
I care about the person showing up: their story, their season of life, and what they want movement to make possible. That might be an ambitious goal. It might be playing with their child or feeling more at ease with an everyday task. Those reasons deserve care and attention, too.
Your story gets to be your own.
I share my journey because I want you to see possibility in your own. Yours will look different from mine. It may take longer than you expect or lead somewhere you hadn’t imagined.
Give yourself time. Give yourself grace. You deserve the chance to discover what you’re capable of—and to feel alive, grateful, powerful, and strong in your own skin along the way.
